  O’ DRISCOLL CLAN MID-SUMMER FESTIVAL JUNE 24TH ~ 27TH.

Thursday 24th 6.30 P. M. Evening trip to Loughine on Cailin Oir with Captain Ted O’ Driscoll 9.00 P.M. Traditional Session in “The Algiers Inn” Friday 25th 2.30 P.M. Trip up the Ilen River on Mystic Water with Captain Vincent O’ Driscoll. Visit to Hegartys Boatyard where the “ILEN” is being restored.. 7.00 P.M. Registration of Clan members and poetry reading by well known author and poet Ciaran O’ Driscoll in Dun Na Sead Castle 8.00 P.M. Music by “Open the Taps” on The Square 9.00 P.M. Official opening of Clan Gathering on the Square Saturday 26th 10.30 A.M. Trip to Cape Clear on Dun Aengus with Captain Ted O’ Driscoll. On arrival the Clan will be met by Mary O’ Driscoll and taken to Cotters Bar where Tea and Scones will be available The Clan will then be accompanied by Eamon Lankford on a visit to the the museum. Eamon Lankford is the founder/director of the museum. After this lunch will take place in “Ciaran Danny Mikes” followed by music for the afternoon. Ferry departs Cape Clear at 4.00 pm or 6.00pm 4.00 P.M. Traditional Music in The Square by Baltimore Beginners. 9.00 P.M. Music by “Rubicon” in The Square. Sunday 27th 11.00 A.M. Mass celebrated in Sacred Heart Church, Rath by Father Martin O’ Driscoll 12.00 P.M. Ferry to Sherkin Island. . Visit to the Abbey followed by a gathering at “The Jolly Roger”. 1.00 P.M. Traditional Music and Dancing on the Square by “Ceoltais Ceoltóirí Éireann “ 3.00 to 5.00 P.M. Music by “Ronnie and Friends”. Kids entertainment – Face Painting, Balloon making, Mime act etc. 2.30 to 5.00 P.M. Open Day at Baltimore Lifeboat Station 3.30 P.M. Address by the O’ Driscoll Clan Chieftain.
